From July 2014:
The Petition refers to the EAST ARUN COMMUNITY SWIMMING POOL & LEISURE CENTRE ON LITTLEHAMPTON SEA FRONT and asks that Arun District Council to stop our seafront community leisure facilities and land being used for the development of Flats, Houses, and for ADC to halt their plans to demolish the Leisure facilities, and hold further genuine consultation with the local Community on the way forward.

Submit Questions to Arun Council Meetings

14/11/2012

At the beginning of each Arun District Full Council and Cabinet Meeting there is a 15-minute Question Time.
Precedence is given to questions which have been submitted in advance - so let's not miss the opportunity
Written questions must be with the Meeting Secretary no less than three working days before the meeting, and they are dealt with on a 'first come' basis, so the sooner they are sent in the better.
E-Mail submission are to be sent to committees@arun.gov.uk
or you can use a Submission Form on the ADC website
Full information about Question Time is   >> here on the Arun District Council Website

Comments on the Draft Strategy are now closed, and the District Council will not consider any more Representations.
From now on, the way to try to get our points over will be for each person to communicate directly with the District Councillor for their Ward. And for those who wish, it would immensely helpful to give your views, in an email or letter, to your MP at the following:

-       Bognor Regis and Littlehampton
The Hon Mr Nick Gibb - gibbn@parliament.uk
-       Arundel and South Downs
The Hon Nick Herbert - herbertn@parliament.uk
-       Worthing West
The Hon Peter Bottomley - bottomleyp@parliament.uk

It only needs to take a few minutes.

Email or Write the Arun District Councillors for your area
Send a short message to the Arun District Councillors representing your area.
You can find their names and emails by clicking on the following link....
ARUN DISTRICT COUNCILLORS
Then just click on your area on the map. There are usually two or three for each Ward
Please also send an email copy of the message to your councillors to:
-        Cllr. Gillian Brown, The Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Council Strategy; Gillianannabrown@aol.com
-        Cllr. Paul Dendle, Cabinet Member for Environmental Services; pauldendle@aol.com
-        Mr. Nigel Lynn, Chief Executive, Arun District Council, nigel.lynn@arun.gov.uk

Another avenue is the press.  These issues need publicity.    If you feel strongly please write to the Littlehampton Gazette  - email  letters@littlehamptongazette.co.uk
And
West Sussex Gazette  email   letters@westsussextoday.co.uk

As we approach D (decision) Day...
Reinforce the Arguments at Arun District Council Meetings
The Littlehampton Leisure Action Group is starting up dialogue to advance the views  expressed in the Public Meeting and come up with viable options the local community can support in conjunction with Town and Parish Councils, Inspire Leisure and Arun District Council.   The next opportunities for you to add your weight to the LLAG effort are at the Arun District Full Council and Cabinet meetings this December and January.

In the run-up please consider any questions you might raise in the public session of these meetings and submit them in plenty of time.  Details of how to submit questions is on the Arun website
